The Australian 190 visa allows you to live permanently in Australia.
A skilled worker nominated by a state or territory may obtain a points-tested permanent visa under the 190 visa option.

You may be able to apply for a 189 Skilled Independent Visaif you meet the following requirements:

190 Visa Eligibility​​​​​​​

Your occupation must be on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations.

OCCUPATION 

Obtaining at least 65 points from the visa scoring table​​​​​​​.

POINTS TEST​​​​​​​

For your application to be valid, you must declare that you have a suitable skills assessment at the time of invitation.​​​​​​​

For the main applicant who intends to enter the state of New South Wales, in addition to the conditions discussed above, must meet the state's requirements. . The following conditions will be examined:

  • Meet all requirements outlined by Home Affairs for this visa 
  • Be skilled in an occupation that is:
       within an ANZSCO unit group identified on the NSW skills list for this visa; AND
       is eligible for the visa
  • Be currently residing in NSW, or offshore, and have continuously done so for a minimum period of six months
  • Have submitted an EOI SkillSelect seeking nomination for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) only and NSW only

To apply for a New South Wales 190 visa, you must submit a valid EOI (Expression of Interest) and make sure the information contained in the EOI is accurate and current.

State Nomination Application for 190 Visa NSW

The New South Wales Government will invite you to apply for the 190 state nomination once it has selected your EOI. A non-refundable application fee of $330 must be paid within 14 days of applying for NSW state nomination. This is not the visa application, but an extremely important step towards getting an invitation for the later 190 visa application

  • We will not be nominating onshore applicants living in Australian states and territories other than Victoria.
