The latest result displayed when checked was the Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) round of 4 June 2026. Architect had a minimum invited score of 85 points.

Start the free visa assessmentWhat does Architect 232111 cover?
Jobs and Skills Australia describes Architects as professionals who plan and design buildings.
Typical work includes concepts, drawings, specifications, builder liaison and site-stage inspections.
For the skilled pathways discussed here, Architect remains ANZSCO 232111. The AACA OSCA label does not mean you should replace the code in a visa form.
Code update: AACA now uses OSCA 241131 on its migration pages.
This refers back to the occupation previously classified as ANZSCO 232111.
Home Affairs still specifies ANZSCO versions by visa program. Match the code and duties for your actual application.
Architect 232111 visa: AACA skills assessment
AACA assesses architectural qualifications for migration purposes.
A successful assessment supports visa purposes but does not itself give professional registration rights.
| Qualification | Typical AACA route | Current fee indicator |
|---|---|---|
| Accredited Australian, NZ, Hong Kong or Singapore qualification | Verification | AUD $446.56 Australian card |
| Other eligible overseas architecture qualification | Overseas Qualifications Assessment (OQA); Experienced Practitioner Assessment may be an alternative if eligible | AUD $4,973.01 Australian card |
| UK Architects Registration Board (ARB) prescribed Part 1 and Part 2 qualifications | UK/Australia recognition route, subject to its eligibility rules | Route-specific fee |
For your Architect 232111 visa assessment, first confirm that the exact qualification is on AACA’s accredited list or eligible pathway. The country alone does not establish accreditation.
AACA says Verification applications are generally finalised within four weeks.
New OQA applications are generally assessed within seven weeks, excluding interview scheduling. Missing documents, peak demand and holiday closures can extend that timeframe.
A Skilled Migration Assessment is valid for three years from issue.
Assessment fees checked 30 September 2026: Verification is AUD $446.56 with an Australian card or AUD $452.76 with an overseas card. New-applicant OQA is AUD $4,973.01 or AUD $5,042.10 respectively. These AACA charges include processing and administration; visa charges, registration and other costs are separate. Check the relevant authority for the current amount.

189 invitation context
The 4 June 2026 subclass 189 round invited Architect at a minimum of 85 points.
The Department of Home Affairs said another 189 round was expected by 30 September 2026.
At the time of checking on 30 September 2026, the official results page still displayed the 4 June round. Recheck before relying on it as the latest result.
Do not treat 85 as a permanent cut-off. Scores can change between rounds.
Sixty-five points is the eligibility threshold, not a guaranteed invitation score.
For an Architect 232111 visa plan, distinguish Expression of Interest (EOI) eligibility from selection. Use the skilled visa points test guide to check what you can support with evidence.
Architect 232111 visa: state nomination snapshot
Occupation eligibility and a state’s program opening are separate questions.
| State | Position at 30 Sep 2026 |
|---|---|
| NSW | Unit group 2321 appears on the NSW 190 list and the 491 list for pathways 2 and 3. Individual visa and nomination rules still apply. |
| Victoria | 2026–27 skilled nomination program is not yet open. |
| Queensland | Awaiting future settings; 2025–26 Registrations of Interest (ROIs) are closed. |
| South Australia | Skilled Registration of Interest (ROI) and General Skilled Migration (GSM) applications remain unavailable pending 2026–27 commencement. |
| Tasmania | 2026–27 program opened on 17 August. Architect appears in subclass 190 Tasmanian Skilled Employment (TSE) priority roles; pathway conditions still apply. |
| ACT | Architect 232111 is on the current ACT nominated occupation list. |
| WA | The WA page checked still displayed 2025–26 criteria. Recheck 2026–27 settings; do not rely on earlier rounds, including March 2026, as current eligibility evidence. |
Millennium Migration recommends checking the live state page again before any ROI or nomination step.
For an Architect 232111 visa, this is a dated snapshot, not a promise that a pathway accepts new applications. Tasmania’s TSE occupation list and WA’s program page require their own eligibility checks.
Architect 232111 visa: salary and employer sponsorship
Indeed reported average Architect base salary of AUD $94,778 on 20 September 2026.
Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA) lists AUD $2,308 in median weekly earnings for full-time, non-managerial adult employees in the broader 2321 group.
The JSA figure uses May 2025 earnings data and also includes Landscape Architects.
These figures use different populations and methods. Neither is a guaranteed job offer or the market rate for a particular sponsored position. JSA’s legacy ANZSCO profiles are no longer updated.
Employer sponsorship: market salary rules still apply.
The Core Skills Income Threshold is AUD $79,423 per year from 1 July 2026. Meeting that floor alone does not satisfy the market salary requirement.
The South Australian Government’s July threshold notice confirms the increase. For an Architect 232111 visa through an employer, check the nomination date and applicable Home Affairs salary rules.
Registration is separate from migration
An AACA migration assessment does not automatically let you use the protected Architect title in Australia.
Professional registration is handled through the relevant state or territory system.
Millennium Migration treats visa eligibility and professional registration as separate checks.
Compare your Architect 232111 visa options with Millennium Migration’s Australian visa services. A suitable assessment does not replace the relevant registration board’s requirements.
Common Architect 232111 visa mistakes
Using the wrong AACA route can add substantial cost and delay.
Applicants can also confuse AACA’s OSCA code with the ANZSCO code used in skilled migration.
A past 189 invitation score should not be treated as a prediction of the next round.
State nomination is not automatic just because Architect appears on a federal occupation list.
