Our professional obligations

Code of Conduct

Every registered migration agent in Australia works under a legally binding Code of Conduct. It exists to protect you. Here is what it requires of us, and what you can expect from Millennium Migration.

Who regulates us

Millennium Migration operates under Sam Lotfollahi, a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 0901704). Registered migration agents are regulated by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA), part of the Department of Home Affairs.

The OMARA assesses and decides applications for registration, monitors the conduct of registered agents, investigates complaints and takes disciplinary action where necessary. You can confirm our registration at any time on the public register.

What the Code requires of us

The Code of Conduct for registered migration agents came into effect on 1 March 2022, prescribed by the Migration (Migration Agents Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021. It sets the standards we must meet in every matter we handle.

Honest, accurate advice

  • Give correct advice based on your actual circumstances
  • Act within the law and in your lawful best interests
  • Never guarantee an outcome the Department alone decides

Clear fees in writing

  • A written agreement setting out our fees before we start
  • Fees that are reasonable for the work involved
  • Client money handled properly and accounted for

Keep you informed

  • Keep you updated on the progress of your application
  • Tell you about changes that may affect your matter
  • Respond to your reasonable enquiries

Confidentiality & integrity

  • Keep your information confidential
  • Disclose and manage any conflict of interest
  • Maintain professional indemnity insurance and complete ongoing professional development

From 1 April 2026, the Migration Agents Regulations 2026 modernised the wider framework governing registered agents — including enhanced continuing professional development and clearer definitions. We remain fully aligned with the Code and the current regulations.

If you have a concern

We want to hear about it first — most issues are resolved quickly with a conversation. But you always have the right to escalate.

Escalate to the OMARA

  • You can make a complaint about any registered migration agent to the OMARA
  • The OMARA regulates conduct but cannot decide your visa or order a refund
  • Visit mara.gov.au for the complaints process

Questions about how we work?

We are happy to explain our process, our fees and your rights before you commit to anything.
